The Mac's Brewbar's Function Centre from May 2011 added two new function rooms to its arsenal to more than triple its previous capacity. We can accommodate both small and large events, with all-day natural sunlight, superb waterfront views, and wheelchair access.
The Waterfront Room is the original function room and is largely unchanged save for its ability to be combined with the new Te Aro Room.
The Waterfront function room has access to a large balcony overlooking the harbour and Odlin's Plaza. It also comes with its own private bar, and complete A.V. system.
The function room can hold up to about 40 people for meetings, or upwards of 120 people for theatre-style meetings. The room itself can also be divided in two for smaller groups.
The Te Aro Room is the jewel in the Function Centre crown. Opened in May 2011, this huge function room is on the first floor and has the potential to be combined with the existing Waterfront Room to create a capacity in the hundreds as a conference venue.
The Te Aro Room has all the features of the Waterfront room (including its own bar and small smoker's balcony) but also has in its favour sawtooth roof through which natural light streams in all day long.

The Cable Room is our other brand new function space. It is on the ground floor on the Cable St side of the Mac's complex.
The wide entrance lobby doors enable cars to be driven into the Cable Room function area, which comes complete with wooden flooring, meaning this large function room space is perfect for trade shows. The historic brick decor and large windows top off this gorgeous room.
The Cable Room had it's grand opening in the first week of May. See photos of the room to see just how versatile it is.
Last but not least is The Odlins Room (the old Training Room), which comes with great harbour views and is the ideal spot during the day for meetings. The Training Room is for more intimate gatherings but, excluding the deck, it has access to the same standard of facilities.
Included in your booking is complimentary use of wireless internet and MP3/iPod control.
